The Paws in Prison Program is physically located at the Coleman Unit, a state correctional facility in Lockhart, Texas. The program is directed and run by the Friends of Paws in Prison Board of Directors (who are all volunteers), the Executive Director, and our Administrative Coordinator, all of whom are located in various central Texas cities. If you would like to learn more about the Paws in Prison Program or have questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Our sweet Muffin is the most lovable and well-behaved dog I have ever had. Everyone who comes over our house falls in love with her. She came from a rural kill shelter into the PIP program and it breaks my heart to think she may have been euthanized without the PIP program.​​"
