Update 09/19/09
I am a graduate!!! I am so smart and did very well in my training. At the graduation ceremony the microphone really hurt my ears, I did great before the party began and after but during the ceremony my ears were killing me!!! Now that they know that at prison they are working on a new plan.
I am an energetic girl and love to learn and play, treats are my favorite of course.....
Please give me a look, you won't be dissappointed, although nobody has even given me a chance yet.....I am still hopeful.
Update 08/29/09
I am doing so well in prison and learning everything so quickly! I am getting plenty of attention (which I love) and am potty/crate trained, can sit, down, settle (lay on my side) and still working on my heeling......there is just so much to look at that sometimes I get carried away and want to play with my fellow prison dog inmates.....I am ready to come and be with you forever. Looking for an active fun loving family. Please give me a chance and I will make sure you do not regret your decision to rescue me.....
Hello everyone! I’m Candycane, a 2 year old female Pointer mix who is ready to meet you. I’m known around the shelter as one of the sweetest girls around. I have a gorgeous chocolate and white coat and very interesting markings! I’m medium sized and weigh about 30 pounds. My favorite thing in the whole wide world involves learning commands. I know how to sit but wish to learn more. Will you teach me? I walk really well on a leash and love receiving treats for my good deeds. I haven’t been at the shelter very long and while I may seem a bit shy at first, remember that I’m still adjusting to my new environment and just need some time. Once you get to know me, you’ll find it hard not to fall in love! I’m confident that I will be a great companion and hope to meet my new family soon!
